Clark in Pampanga is one of the most modern, safe, and orderly communities in the Philippines. Despite modernization, it hasn’t lost its Old World Charm, local flavor, and indigenous culture. It has an international airport where local and international flights converge. There are so many distinguished hotels in the area and one of them is Xenia Hotel Clark. Read why this is a home away from home for family travelers like us.
Xenia Hotel Clark Review
So without ado, here is our review of our two-night family stay at Xenia Hotel Clark.
Location
The Xenia Hotel Clark is located at 4030 C. M. Recto Highway, which is like less than a 10-minute drive to the airport. Of course, it depends on the traffic situation, but really, it is so near.
We like its location because it is along a very clean, wide highway lined with trees. It is so nice to stroll in the afternoons and hit the neighboring duty-free shops. Yes, Xenia Hotel is right smack in the Clark duty-free shopping zone. Additionally, there are many high-end restaurants serving Korean and Chinese cuisine in the neighborhood.
Within the hotel compound, you will find a 7-Eleven store as well as a BDO ATM. You got pretty much everything you need near you around here.
Furthermore, families traveling with young children will be happy to know that Xenia Hotel is very near the Aqua Planet. It is a world-class water park in Angeles, Pampanga, and Xenia sells discounted park tickets at their front desk. Do take advantage of that offer.
Lobby | Common Area
When you enter Xenia Hotel Clark, you will not immediately find the front office. The ground floor is actually a gaming area for those who would like to dabble in some recreation at the end of the day. Some daddies would like it here.
Anyway, going up the escalator, guests will be greeted by a canopy of faux cherry blossoms on a gold gilded ceiling. Our kids were naturally ecstatic to find such décor at the lobby of a hotel. It’s so Instagrammable that many guests pose for pictures all over the lobby.
Standing on the lobby you will find everything here. The front office will greet you from when you alight from the escalator. To the right are spacious and open waiting areas. On the left is a coffee shop and further down would be the restaurant and lounge.
The elevators are hidden from the lobby.

Accommodations
Xenia Hotel Clark has some of the biggest rooms that we have ever encountered in a hotel. The building was originally built as a condominium building, hence the set up and the sizes of each unit. Two Bedroom Suite: Spacious Family Room
We were billeted in the Two Bedroom Suite that had a master’s bedroom featuring a king-sized bed. It is so spacious — the biggest by far that we have stayed in a Philippine hotel.
It also had a walk-in closet that excited the two girls because it’s the first time that they have seen one. The smaller bedroom had a single bed. All the rooms, including the living area, are air conditioned.
It has a shared toilet and bath and has the feel of lavish condo-living.
We stayed in the big bedroom while the kids were in the smaller room. It was wonderful to finally rest my back on a luxurious king-sized bed without Shane squeezing herself under me.
My bad posture while sleeping contributes to my stiff neck and lower back pain. That is why we are trying to train Shane to stay overnight in their bunk bed.
We have done so many things already. But when she wakes up for a pee break, she would usually go to our bedroom and refuse to go back to her bed. It happens every single night for the last 2 years already.
Additionally, our suite had a nice view of the Clark mountainscape and some commercial areas. We were also overlooking the swimming pool. The kids stayed at the pool one morning while we packed our bags for check out and we just kept on monitoring them from our balcony.
Bath Provisions
Our suite had a shared toilet and bath for the two bedrooms. But for four pax, that’s already enough. The hotel provides toiletries and bath towels for four, too. If you need more than what’s provided, you can always call the housekeeping for a refill.
Food
Xenia Hotel has an all-day dining restaurant on the same floor as the lobby. During weekends, an acoustic band plays there in the evenings.
The restaurant is 24 hours because flights come in round the clock at the Clark International Airport.
Breakfast Buffet
From 6am to 10am every morning, breakfast buffet is served at the restaurant. There’s a wide array of local and international dishes, lots of bacon, and an omelette station. The assortment is enough but not superfluous. Sometimes, they also offer instant ramyun, a proof that their hotel is frequented by Korean tourists. It’s free for guests, as it comes with the room accommodations, but walk ins are also welcome.
I would like to especially note that their butter is piped and served in individual little bowls. Honestly, I am bothered by those single-serve butter packs with disposable plastic containers covered in foil. That’s not environment-friendly. They may be small but definitely have a great impact in terms of garbage. So, I appreciate how Xenia Hotel Clark serves their butter.
Flight Schedule
The last time that I was in Clark and stayed at Xenia Hotel, I skipped their buffet breakfast because of our very early morning flight. It was the only flight back to Bacolod at that time. But now, I am happy with the evening flight by Cebu Pacific because we were able to enjoy our breakfast and still see more sights.

We don’t want to miss the hotel breakfast buffet because the kids really enjoy choosing their own food. They serve themselves from the buffet stations and eat by themselves. Additionally, they learn how to order for what they want and even request waiters for water, hot chocolate, or extra napkin. It’s a good way to train kids in restaurant manners and etiquette.

Weekend Dinner Buffet
Every Saturday and Sunday dinner, they offer a weekend dinner buffet. For an affordable rate of P499, guests can enjoy unlimited servings of choice Asian dishes featured for the night. It’s open from 6pm to 10pm.
Conclusion
If you are a family traveling to Clark, or maybe a group of friends, Xenia Hotel Clark has the perfect accommodations. And since the big rooms have a receiving area, you can have a visitor in your unit without getting embarrassed with your stuff scattered all over.
When we were there, a cousin who works around the northern Luzon area dropped by our hotel. He was able to comfortably wait in the lounge while we prepared to go out for some authentic Kapampangan sisig.
Check the Xenia Hotel Facebook page for promo rates for their rooms.
