Aqua Planet is the newest and most modern water theme park in the Philippines today. With such a big area and so many amenities, one whole day is what you need to full enjoy all the Aqua Planet rides. Here is our story after a whole day at Aqua Planet Water Park in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
A Whole Day of Fun at Aqua Planet Water Park for the Whole Family
We stayed at Xenia Hotel Clark at C.M Recto Highway for two nights, which is just a few minutes away from Aqua Planet. Taxi fare is only about P120.
Additionally, the Xenia sells discounted Aqua Planet tickets at the front desk, so we would be missing much if we didn’t go. And this water park did not disappoint.
Aqua Planet water park sits on a 10-hectare property inside Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, Philippines. Just imagine how big it is and how far you have to walk around to fully enjoy the park. After all, it is the newest and most modern water theme park in the Philippines today.
Our family got to enjoy the safe water park from around 10:30am until closing time at 5pm. They are so tedious with safety that you actually feel safe. But still, we supervise the kids.
Gear Up and Protect Yourself
If you plan to visit Aqua Planet, here are some tips to keep yourself in tip-top shape.
Wear rash guards. You will be up and about all day under the sun, so the rash guard will protect the skin from burning and sun rash.
Use sun protection with high SPF. Even under picnic umbrellas, it’s still hot.
Hydrate. Drink water throughout the day. It could be fun and you are all wet, but make sure that you drink enough water so that you won’t get sick.
Goggles. For kids, it would be good to have goggles for them.
Life vests. Always let your children wear life vests where indicated, which is mostly everywhere! Shane became confident floating on her back because of the vest.
Shades. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Aqua Planet Rides and Park Amenities
So here is the complete list of rides, regulations, and restrictions at Aqua Planet water park. It would be awesome if your kids know how to swim because they will better enjoy the place.
If not, well there are life vests for them. That really helped Shane to better enjoy the park.
Flow Rider
The ride is a simulated high thrill surfing attraction. It is designed to allow riders to experience surfing through waves within a controlled environment. The stationary sheet wave in this ride can be ridden like a shaped ocean wave using a body board or a Flow board.
While there are instructors to hep you, some skill like balance is required to properly ride this attraction. Only one rider is allowed at a time.
- Minimum height to ride: 48 inches or 4 feet
- Minimum weight to ride: 88 lbs.
- Maximum weight to ride: 200 lbs.
Aqua Loop
The Aqua Loop is the most extreme ride in the park. A rider gets into something that resembles a capsule and goes on a jaw-dropping 100-meter free-fall. Then they will go on a heart-stopping 360-degree-loop as the launch flap opens from under your feet, allowing you to slide down in a standing position.
Hubby had to take off his rash guard to reduce friction. From afar, he looked like Kal-el in an escape pod. The tower is designed to hold two slides interlaced with each other allowing riders to experience a “jolt” without interfering with each other. When I told him to get on again, he just shook his head while wobbling on his knees. hahaha That intense that even our Superdad doesn’t want to do it again!

Boogie Bay
It’s a 1500-square meter deep wave pool for more adventurous swimmers. Want to beat the current with its 9-ft depth? That should get your adrenaline pumping!
- Water depth: 0-8 feet
- Minimum height to ride: 4 feet
- Type of floater: Life jackets (especially for weak swimmers and shilcren under 4 feet)
- Restrictions: Chidren under 4 feet must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Sky Shuttle
Riding in a group of four, you will be blasted up and then you get to slide down, feeling the weightlessness. It’s part of the thrill.

- Maximum weight: 700 lbs.
- Minimum height to ride: 4 feet
- Number of riders at a time: 4 pax
Kiddie Zone
This area was designed for kids’ utmost enjoyment and safety. Shane stayed for quite some time here. She got to play in the water and enjoyed curved, spiral, and juxtaposed slides. She enjoyed getting wet from an array of sprinklers, too. Adult supervision and life vests for kids are required to be worn at all times.

- Type of floater: Life vests
Restrictions: Children under 4 feet are prioritized at the Kiddie Zone because this was especially designed for them. Additionally, they have limited access around the park. No matter how safe it is, kids should have a guardian present at all times.
Octopus Racers
Papa and Achi Shawna raced their way head first side by side on a colorful race track slide. Meanwhile, Shane and I waited for them at the bottom, betting on whoever reaches the bottom first. Since, Daddy is way heavier, he got to the bottom first and so I won the bet.

Hurricane
After the Spiral Slides, Papa and Achi Shawna went on the hurricane. They only tried one of the slides though because it was getting late and they were already tired. haha
There are four spacious Hurricane slides here. There are twists and bends that can either be a slow or a fast course on a double raft!

Tornado
Papa and Achi Shawna went in line for this only to find out that 4 riders are required. Two very tall Indian guys were also in line needing company so the four of them team up.
Since she was riding with four guys, Achi was on top most of the time, screaming her heart out through the twists and turns. Then there was a sudden 45-degree drop and I could hear Achi screaming from the funnel! hahahaha

Spiral Slides
At the Spiral Slides, you get to experience a variety of exciting twists, turns, and sudden drop. There are varied loops and speeds as you navigate through them with a companion.

- Minimum height to ride: 4 feet

Superbowl
Papa and Experience a whirl of a lifetime as the four-person raft slide, Super Bowl, devours you into its spiral tubes swinging you right to left into a grand splash down!

- Minimum height to ride: 4 feet

Wave Pool
This is where Shane stayed the most! The wave pool is an expansive 3,500 sq meter pool that could generate 8-types of gigantic waves. From afar, it looks like a white sand beach with a 600-inch LED TV on the background. It serves to amplify a #wavetasticexperience at Aqua Planet.

- Minimum height to ride: 4 feet
- Type of floater: Life jackets
Restrictions: Children below 4 ft should be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Wave Rider
This is a river cruise that goes around the park. Papa and the girls enjoyed a relaxing ride here on inflatable tubes after our pizza lunch. They got to relax before heading on to more exciting rides in the afternoon.
If you have a companion, he can spray water from the canons located on the bridge.
- Water depth: 0-3 feet 7 inches
- Height requirement: 4 feet
Reminders: Children below 4 feet are allowed provided that they wear life jackets and there’s an adult present.
Temporary Closing of Rides
Some of the rides open alternately. This means that there are rides that close on certain hours. It’s either they are trying to “rest” or “maintain” the rides or the management is rotating the personnel on duty.
Whatever their reason is, listen to the announcements on the PA system so that you will not miss out on the rides. The hours can pass by so fast around here that before you know it, it’s already 5 o’clock and the park will close.
Free Aqua Planet Souvenir: The Stamp Hunt
One of the things that you can do at Aqua Planet is hunt for stamps. At the entrance, they will give you a map of the park and one part of it contains a quest for stamps around the property. Once you have completed the six stamps, you can claim a free drink or an Aqua Planet pen, which can be your souvenir.
Each one of us had a map and after we have completed them, we exchanged them for Aqua Planet pens! Each one is worth P50 so we saved P200 and got free Aqua Planet souvenir items!
Ticket Prices
The Splash Pass entitles guests to an all-day access at the park with unlimited use of water rides and attractions. However, restrictions apply for those 4 feet and below, like our little Shane who cried so hard that she couldn’t get on most rides. But it’s for her safety. So just like at Magikland Silay Theme Park, she shed some tears.
Weekday

Aqua Planet tickets at the Xenia Hotel are only P800 each.
Food and Water
No outside food and drinks are allowed inside Aqua Planet. While that is fine with us, I just wish that they had a water refill station. We consumed five bottles of water in the park and at P40 each, that’s a total of P200. This does not include the soda that we ordered with our pizza for lunch.
While I don’t mind paying for the water, I do mind the plastic trash from the water bottles. We cannot avoid drinking water—it’s essential for hydration and well-being throughout the day.
Restrictions
All transactions at Aqua Planet are cashless. You can either use your credit card or top up your entrance bracelet with a cash value. Purchases will be debited by swiping your bracelet at the counters of food outlets or gift shops. Unused credits will be refunded at the exit.
Health and Safety
Aqua Planet values the well-being and safety of all their guests. We went there in the midst of the covid-19 scare and the park management has ensured some protocols.
Guests with elevated temperatures were not allowed entrance. So make sure that everyone is feeling good when going there, otherwise your sick companion will not be able to enter.
Conclusion
If you are able to set aside one whole day to spend at Aqua Planet, then the park fees are definitely worth it. The rides are safe, world-class, and so much fun. Kids will also definitely enjoy swimming, sliding, and playing in the safe Kiddie Zone.
Our little Shane was the last one out of the wave pool at 5pm—until the park had to blow the horn signaling that the park is closed for the day. She was blue from the cold and the paint on the floor but she was also very happy and fulfilled.
So if your family happens to be in Clark, make sure to schedule a visit to Aqua Planet water park. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits so that you will enjoy all-day splashing fun!

Future Aqua Planet Hotel
We were told that the owners of Aqua Planet are building a hotel just across the water park. It will be reportedly completed in a couple of years. Here’s how it looks and I admire the fact that they have retained a lot of the trees.
