Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast Family Stay Review

Visiting the new Boracay is an entirely different experience. The lines and transfers are orderly. The island is clean. But what made our trip most memorable was our Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast family stay.

Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast Location

Savoy Hotel Boracay is located at the Boracay Newcoast and is a development by Megaworld Corporation. This area is separate from all the party stations that Boracay is known for. And it was just perfect for a serene family stay.

Just outside the hotel.

This new luxury Boracay hotel features four types of rooms, with areas ranging from 32 to 55 square meters. All the rooms feature private balconies with views of the ocean or the golf course. Our room was facing the golf course, part of the hills, and a glimpse of the beach.

The rooms are equipped with modern amenities such as an LED TV, Wi-Fi connection, and air-conditioning. But what I like the most is that this hotel is environmentally-conscious. Read on to know more.

This expansive lobby is not air conditioned. There are just fans in some corners.

Lobby | Common Area

The lobby and waiting areas of Savoy Hotel Boracay are expansive. But what makes these environmentally aware is its open setting. Yes, no aircon at the lobby, which has really a huge impact to the environment.

An area at the lobby. The little girl doesn’t care for a family portrait. haha

It is common for hotels to have large, fully air conditioned waiting areas. So you can just imagine how much energy is spent in cooling such a space with high ceilings. However, at Savoy Hotel Boracay the costs are less plus there is less damage to the environment.

One of the common areas inside the hotel. This part is air conditioned. There are restrooms here, too.

One thing that I noticed are the uniquely designed furniture all over the lobby. They look nice and give us nooks and crannies for the perfect IG picture.

Clean and well-lighted hallways.

Room | Toiletries

The standard room is just enough for our little family. It has a queen sized bed and a divan, which the little one gamely occupied. However, if she gets a bit bigger, this room will already be to small for us.

The kids have their snacks at the veranda.

What you will realize here is that there are basic toiletries in the bathroom. And there are no single use plastic containers. They have a 2 in 1 bath and shower gel pump container that they just refill. Saves the environment so much trash on a day to day basis.

Boracay Hotel Services

The beach at Boracay Newcoast is about a 10-minute walk from Savoy Hotel Boracay. But if you want to skip the stroll, especially when it’s too hot, you can request for a shuttle service that will bring you to the beach.

We took a stroll at the beach of Boracay Newcoast.

Going back, you may request the guard at the beach to request for the shuttle to pick you up. There’s no line and very little waiting time (depending on the traffic of tourists).

The girls really enjoyed the beach. After this short photo shoot, they donned their swimsuits and played in the water.

Another available shuttle service is going to drive you to Jollibee at Station 2. There’s a schedule for this that you can easily check at the reception.

Staff

Most of the staff are especially courteous and warm, especially at the restaurant and the concierge. At the restaurant, they are very knowledgeable about the menu. They were able to explain their specialties.

The pool staff were also very accommodating. And since they saw that we have kids, they even invited the girls for the kiddie activities that are held on different time slots at the hotel. Too bad that we had to check out already, Shane really wanted to join some of them.

Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast Room Rates

On the hotel’s website, SavoyHotelBoracayPH, you can stay at the deluxe room for about P4100 ++ per night. There are four kinds of rooms that will suit your needs. Prices are reasonable especially for such a high-end hotel resort in Boracay.

Food

Another thing that we really appreciate at Savoy Hotel Boracay Newcoast is their food. They have pretty good cooking and the prices are reasonable, especially for their serving sizes.

We had dinner by the poolside and we had their cheese pizza, seafood palabok, and cheese burger. That was a really filling dinner. And because of our Megaworld Club Access Card perks, our meal was at 50% off. Lovely!

Five-cheese pizza.

Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet is not too much nor too simple. It was just enough. There were different kinds of breads, an omelet station, salad bar, fruits, and of course the main breakfast courses.

There were just some things I miss though, like longganisa and hotdogs.

It’s okay to have breakfast in your swimwear. It’s Boracay anyway. Just pick the seats where there is no cushion, like us, so that the staff can just easily wipe the wet area.

Swimming in the Pool and on the Beach

Needless to say, we had endless swimming at Savoy Hotel Boracay, both at the their two pools and the beach at Boracay Newcoast.

The little mermaids at Boracay Newcoast.

On the first day, we spent time at the main pool where the two kiddie pools are. The following day, we discovered the party pool, which was only 3 feet high. That was good for us because we had little kids so we enjoyed swimming there as a family.

The party pool that was exclusively for us the whole morning.

The kids were able to don their mermaid costumes here and it was so much fun to play because at that time, we were the only ones around. It seemed that the other guests preferred the deeper pool.

Mermaids in Boracay

The girls have been doing these summer pictorials for five years now. And this year, since we are in Boracay, the theme is mermaids. What fun it was to become Mermaids in Boracay even for just two days. They thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watch a video of the sisters’ mermaids in Boracay moment.

As long as they are willing to wear costumes and pose for the camera, we will continue to have these annual theme summer photo shoot.

Conclusion

We truly enjoyed our stay at Savoy Hotel Boracay. It’s serene, luxurious, and just perfect for a getaway for a young family like us. If we wanted to go out, they had a shuttle ready, so it was convenient.

But since it’s far away from the Boracay stations, it was peaceful and relaxing. I just wish we could have stayed a little bit longer. Even the kids do.

This is our eldest Shawna’s 10th birthday Boracay adventure and she surely enjoyed every bit of it. We shall see you next time, Savoy Hotel Boracay! 🙂 Thank you for making our family holiday very memorable.

  1. Oh my….great adventure for family bonding moments in Boracay…another add on the bucketlist for us. Savoy Hotel Boracay looks so nice!

  2. After experiencing Savoy Hotel Boracay and the Savoy Beach (Ilig-Iligan Beach), one thing I can say is that White Beach is not Boracay. I realized that when people talk about Boracay they usually mean only White Beach of Boracay. This is just my opinion, but I think modernization or the urbanization of White Beach ruined its real beauty. However, with the Newcoast Boracay properties, although the development brought about modern touch to the beach, their design offers that relaxing feel nature gives me. For they have placed their developments at a good distance from the natural beauty of the white sand shores of the island of Boracay. This is the part that people can relax and enjoy nature.

  3. When we visited Boracay, the hotel is still its ongoing construction. The place looks so nice! I will surely stay here at Savoy Hotel Boracay when I will visit Bora again. Thanks, Miss Sig for this awesome review!

  4. Wow! Just by looking at your pics momsh Sigrid, Savoy Hotel Boracay looks really amazing. And good to know that Savoy Hotel is environmentally conscious which is very good. They just don’t think of business and hope every Hotel is like them, to be environmentally conscious as well. At least we have something to consider on where to stay if given a chance to go to Boracay. Thanks for sharing this.

  5. Wow! Smiling while seeing your family pics and the kids are really enjoying as well! We need to spend more memorable time with our family and it makes me happy seeing this post. Soon by March 2020, will surely check Belmont out when we visit Boracay! Thank you for this, Mommy Sigrid! ?

  6. Love the amenities at Savoy Hotel Boracay, although the deluxe room would be a tad small for our big family, esp with a very hyperactive toddler 🙂 But still, would consider checking this place out once we finalize our family Boracay trip. 🙂 thank you for this helpful tips 🙂

  7. Wow, what can I say? It’s really the little things that makes an impact, esp. when you’re well-travelled na. I love that Savoy Hotel Boracay makes the effort of being eco-friendly. I was just wondering what (pool?) activities your kiddos missed?

    1. Not the pool activities but the playroom and the mask making activity for kids that the hotel offers to the guests. Savoy is pretty nice like that. 🙂

  8. After reading this blog post, I am more and more convinced to make plans and visit Boracay next year! Hopefully I will be able to secure discounted tickets for my flight. Hello PISO FARE PROMO!

  9. Wow, what a nice family getaway!❤️ I hope I can visit Boracay again with the kids and the husband. The last time I was there was 2008 with some cousins, and we didn’t get to swim because of super typhoon Frank.? Ligo sa ulan lang.? There was no electricity and we were stranded for 2 days, no bus can get thru the damaged roads to Iloilo City. That was one memorable Boracay vacation still.??

    1. Oh my gosh! What a way to spend your vacation in Boracay? But yeah, I agree that’s a memorable one. Hopefully you can go back when it’s summer time 🙂

  10. Ganda ng Savoy Hotel Boracay! Nice that it has its own exclusive beach at the Newcoast area. Very nice place perfect for a summer getaway! Boracay Island has been the go-to beach for both local and foreign travelers in the Philippines for decades now. The island is like a city of its own, and has everything we want! From stunning beaches, world-class restaurants, malls, luxury resorts, and budget hotels, they have it. Super enjoy ang vibrant nightlife!
