As a mom, my family’s health and well-being is a top priority. While I am not a purist (kasi purita ako), I try to use natural, healthy, and organic products in the home as much as I can. Don’t get me wrong, we do have some health food stores in Bacolod already. However, the products they are selling are limited. Some only sell food supplements while others have some ingredients and others have super foods. You can’t find them altogether in one place.
At the Healthy Options Bacolod Store located at the first level of Ayala Malls Capitol Central, they have so much more. The medium-sized store is divided into different departments and they almost have something for every segment.
So they have food supplements, health books, beauty products, essential oils, and bath products. On the other side of the store, there are food products and supplements for babies and infants. Moreover, they have natural cooking ingredients like herbs, spices, pasta, and sauces.
Moving further inside, they have healthy and natural snack items and health drinks. There are also products for those who workout.
Mom’s Top Health Picks
When I first went there, I spent an hour roaming the store. Then I had to come back for more in the following two consecutive days. There’s just so much to go through.
But in the end, I zeroed in on the top needs of our family and I found them all at the Healthy Options Bacolod Store. These are Epsom Salt for our annual gall bladder cleanse and digestive enzymes for hubby and myself. Additionally, I got Collagen Complete capsules, which are good for my lower back pains. I think I am going to write about this separately.
And since we were running low on shampoo and conditioner, I also got a bottle each. For several years now, I try to keep our line of bath products free of chemicals. It’s not all the time because of one reason or another, but at least, most of the time.

I am not very keen with beauty products and a regimen because I am too lazy. However, age and perimenopause has other plans. Aside from the hot flushes and irritability, I have breakouts.
My hormonal breakouts come in many forms. Some are cystic acne, some get really inflamed, while others are just unsightly black heads. It seems that every day, I find a new clogged pore.

For the Healthy Options gold membership, a certain amount should be reached within six months and should also be maintained. There are bigger perks and rewards for this. But if you do not maintain the purchase requirement, the gold membership will be demoted back to green.
