The Rain in España Provincial Tour Bacolod Leg

Last June, the main cast of The Rain in España visited Bacolod City as part of their provincial tour. They had a mall show at Robinsons Place Bacolod that was attended by hundreds of super kilig fans. Aside from the fact that fans were excited to see their favorite stars in person, they were thrilled to see the real-life chemistry of the two main actors: Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo.

They were accompanied by co-stars Nicole Omillo, Aubrey Caraan, Francis Magundayao, and Frost Sandoval. The cast wowed the audience with special numbers and continued to entertain during a public press conference with Bacolod bloggers, influencers, and media.

Directed by Theodore Boborol, the love story of Kalix and Luna was based on the insanely popular web novel of the same title. As of the last count, there had already been 570 million downloads of the book version on Wattpad.

It is not surprising then that the show, with all its well-portrayed characters, has made gigantic waves on the video streaming app, Viva One.

How the Show Changed Their Lives

Marco and Heaven were first seen together in the Pinoy Big Brother Season 7 aired on TFC six years ago. Back then, fans were already shipping them and it is understandable that people were rooting for them to be reunited in a project once again.

Heaven Peralejo (as Luna)

Heaven is very thankful saying that the show and its popularity really changed her life and career. Needless to say, her being cast in the main role of Luna launched her into stardom. “Maraming, maraming salamat po.“

Marco Gallo (as Kalix)

Meanwhile, Marco admitted that he was already considering changing careers when the opportunity to be cast as Kalix came. “About a year and a half ago, I was thinking of changing careers because not much was happening in my career. I was thinking of taking the flight attendant path. Eventually, Viva told me to stay because they’ve been telling me that I might get this project.”

Francis Magundayao (as Miguel)

Francis said that when he was cast as Miguel “We realized the gravity of the book and the fan base.” Nagkaroon kami ng comprehensive workshops and needless to say, we really prepared for this.” But despite all the hard work, he says, “We are very happy to see it pay off and the proof is right here (pointing to the fans).”

Nicole Omillo (as Kierra)

She was quite excited about the chance to work in the show, however, she also went through auditions and the uncertainty that she will not make it. When Nicole finally got the notice that she was cast as Kierra, she was so happy. What made the character very personal to her is how strong Kierra is despite the things that she went through in life. “Napalapit na sya sa puso ko. I am very grateful to have an opportunity to be able to portray a story… that I can be very proud of… a story that many people can relate to.”

Frost Sandoval (as Leo)

The young actor said that one thing that he never expected to happen in the show was the “friendships that we created in the process of filming.” He said that the cast has evolved to become a family and he wishes for their relationships to stay close.

Aubrey Caraan

Aubrey is one of the veterans in the cast, having started in showbiz when she was still young. But she says, “Ito ang biggest blessing sa career ko.” More people now recognize her and appreciate her work so she is very thankful as well as careful to do her best in her job.

Luna and Kalix had a romantic trip to Boracay. Kierra introduces her boyfriend Miguel to her friends.

Luna discovers Kalix’s cheating while blaming herself for what happened to her friend Kierra.
