Palmolive Expertique Intensive Hair Mask: Treatment for Dry Hair
We spent the New Year at the Eden South Beach Resort in Hinobaan, Negros Occidental. It was three days of enjoying the sun and the sea and it was hard to get the kids to come up to the beach house to rest.
When we got back, Achi Shawna’s hair, which is long, black, and straight, became a bit dry. The sun and saltwater really caused some damage and I knew it needs intensive treatment to revive the life of her hair.
So we tried the Palmolive Expertique Intensive Hair Mask. It was a gift from Shopee and it is also available from their site. Will post the link below.
What it is and How to Use it
The Palmolive Expertique Intensive Hair Mask is an intensive hair conditioning product. It is designed to nourish, repairs, and also strengthen hair.
According to the label, it is infused with Kera-Ceramide Serum, which is supposed to be hair proteins. It claims to instantly hydrate dry, damaged hair.
Instructions say that we should apply generously on damp hair and to leave I on for 2-5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. And so we did.
Our Experience
I took about 2 dollops of the hair mask in order to cover Achi Shawna’s hair. Notice in the photo below that I did not apply the mask on Achi’s scalp. I am not sure because it says it’s a hair mask.
Using my fingers, I smoothed the hair mask through the strands up to the tips. We could already feel her hair smoothening in the process. After about 2 minutes, we rinsed her hair and did not wait for the 5-minute time cap.
While pouring water on her hair, Shawna said that her hair feels light and smooth. So I kept rinsing her hair and my fingers glided down–no tangles! Smells so good, too! Her photo was taken the following day and her hair was still smooth.
The Palmolive Expertique Intensive Hair Mask is supposed to help restore hair strength and elasticity after continued use. But for our first try, Shawna’s long hair was really smoothened.

That’s good 6 weeks, if you follow the once a week routine, which translates to about a month and a half.
That’s a lot of savings, considering how much a hair mask service costs in the salon. So, I think it’s pretty good.
