Bacolod City is abuzz for the MassKara Festival 2019. Not to be outdone, Krispy Kreme Bacolod joins in the celebration with promos and a new flavor. They have launched the Krispy Kreme Dark Chocolate Glitz. A must-try!
The annual MassKara Festival happens every fourth Sunday of October in Bacolod City. This year, the much-awaited event is celebrating it’s 40th year.
Krispy Kreme Dark Chocolate Glitz
Along with the opening of the MassKara Festival, Krispy Kreme Bacolod also launched a new doughnut flavor.
It’s the Dark Chocolate Glitz, which is a doughnut smothered with the premium dark Malagos chocolate ganache from Davao. It is then drizzled with gold glitz and sprinkled with chocolate chips. A heavenly treat, indeed, for chocolate lovers.
Since it’s frosted with dark chocolate, the Dark Chocolate Glitz is not very sweet. It’s a nice combination of the sweet doughnut and the bitter smooth chocolate.
Krispy Kreme Bacolod Promo
In celebration of the MassKara Festival, a pre-assorted box of 6 doughnuts will only be P149. It will include three (3) original glazed doughnuts and three (3) Dark Chocolate Glitz.
These will be available in the Krispy Kreme Bacolod main branch at SM City Bacolod. They also have a booth at Robinsons Place Bacolod. Promo will run from October 20 to 31, 2019.
Doughnut Decorating Activity
Our kids and the Bacolod bloggers and media enjoyed decorating doughnuts. Krispy Kreme Bacolod arranged for everyone to have fun frosting their doughnuts. We were taught how to properly do the glazing so that they are spread evenly, though it’s done manually.

The girls had the chance to decorate their doughnuts alongside Ms. Ma Beatriz Dominique Tan. More known as Bea Tan, she was part of the Ateneo Volleyball Team Fab 5 of 2010. She was here in Bacolod to promote volleyball among young girls.
This is the advantage of homeschooling, we could just easily bring the kids to events without hindrance. The Krispy Kreme Bacolod launch was a Monday, but our family was at the mall. hehe
In the end, we decorated our creations with different candy toppings. Shane managed to make four doughnuts! She’s small so she would just wiggle her way in between the grownups to make another one.
It was fun to see everyone enjoying decorating and eventually eating their doughnuts. Loved their sweet frosting! Hehe I have such a sweet tooth.
