March for Jesus Bacolod

Attending March for Jesus– this once a year event as a family, declaring our love and faith for our Savior — Jesus Christ.

Our family at one of the starting points of the March for Jesus event — the Bacolod Capitol Lagoon.

Note: This is a long delayed post because the event already happened last September 2012.

Anyway, many Christian churches here in Bacolod united for a citywide event here called March for Jesus. It is an event where people will assemble in three starting points in the city, march out together, and then converge at the New Government Center of Bacolod City.

The objective of the event is to declare Jesus as Lord of the city, to pray for the streets passed and the areas covered, to worship the Lord together in unity, and most especially, to pray together at the NGC, which represents the seat of power in the city.

Our daughter Dindin met new friends with whom she danced the ribbon dance.

We wanted Dindin to take part in it because it had been several years since this was organized again. And we were just so blessed to be a part of this event.

Since we know that Dindin could not stand walking for a very long time, we parked the car somewhere so that when we reach that point, we can just ride going to NGC. But we stayed with the caravan, of course.

Concept of God

At a young age, we have introduced God and the concept of faith to Dindin. And we are so thankful because she prays by herself and knows basic concepts about Christianity. We want her to grow up as a woman after God’s heart. There is just no earlier time to teach Dindin about God and we are happy that we did.

Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Would You Like to Have God in Your Life?

How about you? Do you have God in your life already? If not, you can ask Jesus to come into your life today. You can pray the simple prayer below.

“Heavenly Father, have mercy on me for I confess that I am a sinner. I come before you now because I believe in you and in your word. I believe and declare that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that He died on the cross but has overcome it.

So now I come before you in order to receive forgiveness for my sins and have eternal life. I know that without you in my life, it is meaningless and not worth living. I believe with all my heart that you, Lord God, raised Jesus from the dead.

Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need You. I need you to be my Father and my friend. I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on. Teach me also Lord how to love You, just as You have loved me from the beginning.

I pray this in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior, Amen.”

  1. This is a blessing. The sharing of a faith in your city. I hope your city will make this more and more so that you can all share in his love. Bless you and your family.

    1. Exactly Emmie. My hubby was thinking why not make worship services into one big thing like this for the entire city! Well, of course, that is wishful thinking. It’s a glimpse of heaven! 😀

  2. I have been to Disney world once in my life and I can honestly say that it was awesome. I was little so I could not ride all the rides.
