Christmas Tree of Hope

Every year, L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod sets up a giant, well-appointed tree in the middle of their expansive lobby with a high ceiling. They have been doing this for many years now.

Buy some Christmas ornaments and help charity.

Each year, they have a different theme and they hire designers to complete the big task of embellishing the Christmas tree. I just love how they intentionally place the really tall tree under the big chandelier at the lobby. It’s like the tree has a crown of lights.

Allan K rendered a powerful performance of some well-loved Christmas carols.

The Christmas Tree of Hope lighting this year was led by Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Mrs. Delia Granada Ciocon. Maam Elsa, Bacolod’s First Lady, was also present. Meanwhile, comedian and singer Allan K, who is from Bacolod, serenaded everyone with Christmas carols. Plus, a Children’s Choir also rendered some songs.

Shawna and Shane write notes to hang with their ornaments. They also wanted to support the Christmas Tree of Hope.

And of course, our daughters would not pass up this opportunity to write a note and also give. It seems that although they are very thrifty and goal-oriented, like their travel savings, they do not scrimp when it comes to charity.

Additionally, you may also want to write a note to hang with your ornament. The children of the foundation would be happy to read these heartfelt notes.

If you have children, this is a good way to teach them about charity. You may have them save up P100 from their allowance that they can share to the less fortunate. Moreover, you can have your Christmas family photos taken at the lobby of L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod. 🙂
