Stress can either be acute (immediate) or chronic (long-lasting). It can arise from different life problems and situations.

Some signs of stress are irritability, frequent depressive or anxious moods, overeating or undereating, and less resistance to common ailments, such as the flu.

Coping With Stress

When you feel like your stress is too much, you need healthy ways of coping. Here are some stress management techniques that you can apply in your daily life.

1. Seek counseling. Talk to a professional who can help you with proper thought processes or how to channel your stress. You might also need medication if stress is already affecting your mental health.

2. Spend time with your loved ones or pets. The connection you have with people or pets can help you unwind. Do meet up with close friends or see your family at least once a week.

3. Find a hobby. As they say, there are different strokes for different folks. Some people find it relaxing to apply color to a coloring book, bake, or knit. For others, it could be woodworking, restoration, or playing instruments. Or you can simply read a good book. Find something that you really like to do without pressure.

4. Relax. Weekends are designed so that we can rest our bodies and get our minds off work. But we should not wait for weekends when we plan to get a massage or to sleep in. The main advantage of time table is; it can help so much in my busy day to manage my stress level.
