The L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod New Deluxe Rooms Experience

The biggest hotel in Bacolod City has been undergoing renovations for some time now. Take a peek at the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms, taken during our weekend family stay.

We experienced an overnight stay in one of the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms.

By now, you must have realized how we love staycations and going out as a family. We try to bring the kids wherever we go, especially when there’s a hotel and a swimming pool. The kids just love the water, though they are not really skilled swimmers. Our current weekend outing was trying out the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms.

Location

L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod is located in a what they call a privileged spot, which is along 14th-15th Lacson Streets. Why privileged? That is because they are righ smack in the middle of what Bacood City has declared as the Tourism Strip. You get a lot of the action here during the MassKara Festival. It is walking distance to many famous Bacolod restaurants and cafes as well.

Its central location makes it minutes away from the downtown area, the provincial government offices, and many other tourist attractions.

Lobby | Common Area

At 28 years old, perhaps every Bacolodnon has already set foot at L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod. You may have booked a room there, attended a wedding, or birthday party, or just dined in one of their restaurants. And you know that their lobby is one of the grandest here in Bacolod. There are several lounge chairs for those who are waiting.

The grand lobby of the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod, as seen from the third floor.

When you enter the hotel, the reception area is on the right. Meanwhile, straight ahead is the Ripples Restaurant, where they serve the most sumptuous dishes for their lunch and dinner buffet. You may also hear live acoustic music here on some nights. Many people also stay here during the afternoons for coffee.

L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod New Deluxe Rooms

The L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms are now open for occupancy. They are a bit more expensive than their old deluxe rooms. The renovations in the hotel are ongoing and it will not be long before the whole of this homegrown Bacolod hotel will have newly renovated and refurbished rooms.

Our room is 326.

For now, the entire 3rd floor north wing has new rooms. We were billeted overnight in room 326.

Room | Bathroom | Toiletries

So how do the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms look like? This is the set up of Room 326, which is, of course, on the the third floor. It is very roomy, which we like, because there are four of us in the family. We can walk around and not have to worry about bumping around each other.

The L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms have a double and a single bed.

Room Facilities

Our deluxe room had one double and one single bed. So this is good for a family of three. If you have two kids, it’s enough if the kids are small. Shawna and Shane just fit in the single bed, though there was just resistance on Shane’s part because she wanted to sleep with us. haha

Coffee making facilities.

There’s a coffee table, a chair, a stool, a small built in desk with lamp and electrical outlets, and a flat screen TV.

The TV and mirror taken from opposite the double bed.

In the bathroom, there was a hair dryer, too. As for the iron and ironing board, I think you can just request for a set, too. The room was not equipped with these.

What’s in the Closet?

The closets at the L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod new deluxe rooms are open. There are just shelves for you to organize your stuff, some hangers, and then bedroom slippers. The good thing is, you can easily find your stuff because there are no closet doors covering the light. On the other hand, you have to be organized, in case you invite somebody over in your room. You can’t just scatter your stuff and dump them in the closet when you have a guest. haha

The open closet.

I did not find a robe and I didn’t bother requesting for one, as I didn’t need it.  So I am not really sure if they have a robe you could borrow.

Toiletries

They are offering the Kaia line of organic toiletries that are mildly scented. They are pretty nice. And I like it that they are taking the natural way in their toiletries. The soap is just regular hotel room soap though. Just ask for more from housekeeping if you need them, especially if your kids keep taking showers after swimming.

Toiletries by the lavatory upon check in.

Everything you need seems complete — shower caps, toothbrush and toothpaste, cotton buds, and facial tissues. However, there was no sewing kit.

In-Room Amenities

The room has a safe for your valuables, a small refrigerator, mini bar, and coffee making facilities.

The bedside table.

We had internet access but it wasn’t so fast plus their system wouldn’t accept non-secure sites (those that do not have https://). In short, I was not able to work. You know that I work even on vacations, as long as I have a laptop and internet access, because I am a freelancer anyway. So I just took the opportunity to catch up on some sleep.

The shower room doesn’t have a door. It just has a glass panel covering the part where the shower is.

Amenities

The L’Fisher Hotel is one of the most go-to venues for big events like weddings, parties, and conventions. They have several restaurants and many other conveniences for locals and tourists.

  • Ripples Restaurant
  • Yakiniku Room
  • Grand La Proa Ballroom
  • Ricardo Function Room
  • Ripples Function Room
  • Chalet Function Room
  • Chalet Outdoor Function Area
  • L’Terraza
  • The Cocoon by L’Fisher Spa
  • Swimming Pool
  • Gym – this is the only hotel amenity that we never get to use haha

Two-Day Swimming for the Kids

L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod has two pools. One is located behind Ripples Restaurant but it is no longer open for swimming. You can just have photos taken there.

Morning swim for the kids after the breakfast buffet.

If you really want to go swimming, you can proceed to the roof deck of L’Fisher Chalet. The Chalet is just connected to the L’Fisher Hotel and you can pass by their air conditioned hallway to get there. The pool is on the 5th floor.

Precious moments – the kids and I had some time frolicking in the pool. Daddy didn’t join us swimming so he was the one who took our photos.

The view there is really nice because you can see three sides of the city. Plus the pools are super conducive for the young and the grown-ups. There’s a big pool where you can dive, lounge, or do laps. Plus, there’s a big shallow kiddie pool with little water spouts for added fun.

The girls thoroughly enjoyed the pools.

The kids spent the afternoon of the first day and part of the morning of the second day just swimming. Their skin has turned considerably darker. But that’s the beauty of a staycation — unli-swimming!

Brick Oven Pizza

At the L’fisher Chalet roof deck, they also have a restaurant and a bar. It’s nice to unwind here at night, have a few drinks, and just enjoy time with family and friends. One of the features of their restaurant here is the brick oven pizza.

Don’t miss ordering a pizza here. There are so many flavors to choose from and prizes vary depending on the variant. We chose the Negrense pizza topped with chorizo and quail eggs (PhP 299). Yummy!

Look who’s enjoying that we had pizza. We ordered the Negrense pizza with chorizo and eggs.

Tip: Don’t order when you are hungry It takes some time for the pizza to be done. Give it about 30 minutes for your order to arrive.

Staff

L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod prides itself with service. Their staff are highly trained and are very polite. They try to cater to the needs of every guest. And when you pass by staff anywhere in the hotel, be they executives, restaurant crew, utility personnel, or housekeeping, they will surely greet you with a bow and a hand over their chest. Furthermore, if you say “thank you,” they will all respond with a smile and say, “Pleasure.”

Food | Breakfast Buffet

The buffet food at L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod is probably the best there is in Bacolod. They use some of the finest ingredients and prepared in the most delectable way. There is also so much variety. We enjoy family meals in these settings, as these forge bondings.

Our family is present for the breakfast buffet.

We like bringing kids during buffet events because they are given the chance to pick their own food. They can be taught basic restaurant manners, like getting only what you can finish. Or finishing most of what you have taken.

I like buffet meals because the kids get to pick what they like, which is a little of a few things.

I don’t really eat much during eat all you can buffet meals, but I try to sample as many dishes as possible. So I had some of their meats, especially the bacon and longganisa, crispy fried danggit (dried fish) with vinegar, French toast, cookies, salad, and then fruits. Of course, their coffee.

Pancakes, French toast, and fresh fruits.

Also try their weekend buffet that’s available every Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch. With all the many dishes, their eat all you can buffet is reasonably priced at P699. If you come in a group of six, you only pay for five people.

There are several cold drinks available, but the kids just had milk. It was their choice. It’s more of a habit, I think.

  1. Wow! Their new deluxe rooms are nice. Glad that they were able to renovate before Masskara season. The only thing that I don’t like about L’ Fisher’s rooms are the mirror infront of the beds — bad fengshui.

Nonetheless, it is still great place to stay given its proximity to calea and other pastry shops. 🙂
