BDO Unibank has been working throughout the pandemic with Pinoy bloggers and content creators in order to bring good news to Fillipinos worldwide. Whether about banking updates or relief efforts, the bank made sure that they stayed in touch with their customers through relevant blogs or video stories. Recently, they recognized the best Pinoy online content creators who partnered with them in the 1st BDO Blogger Awards. Despite logging in from all over the country, the prestigious virtual event turned emotional as bloggers were touched by the bank’s gesture after the horrible two years we have endured.
Holding the 1st BDO Blogger Awards After Pandemic
The BDO Blogger Awards was started in order to honor bloggers and influencers who share useful information, insights, and positivity with their followers and viewers. The awards honored contributions not only in spreading awareness about the bank’s advocacies but also in initiating important public discussions for a more financially-inclusive industry through content creation.
The Awards featured two segments. The first part is the recognition ceremony, which awarded the top-performing content creators in terms of the quality of content they published online from 2020 to 2021. The second is the content creation contest—a thematic activity that challenged participants to come up with unique and creative ways to talk about various topics.
This year, BDO challenged participants to discuss the bank’s innovative digital solutions that served as an alternative option for clients to perform their bank transactions. The bank was especially keen on serving the Filipinos’ need for touchless financial services during the height of the pandemic, which the bloggers had to relay to the general public.
In this regard, I created my winning campaign on BDO Pay, BDO Pay: Pay All Your Bills Before Breakfast. Meanwhile, the video, which was shot in less than an hour and edited by my eldest daughter, was aired on Tiktok. 🙂 Watch it below:
