Family Memories with Apollo Restaurant Hilado
Hubby’s family are neighbors with Apollo Restaurant Hilado. Our store is just about a block away from each other in the area called Capitol Shopping Center in Bacolod. It is no wonder that hubby grew up with the dishes by Apollo. My in-laws would often buy takeout dishes from here and then these would be shared at home. We even buy salted peanuts per kilo from them.

Our Wedding
Our wedding, which was held in a different venue at Goldenfield Commercial Complex, was catered by Apollo. They customized their dinner menu for us to include dishes that were not in their usual catering set menu. We even had birthday misua during our wedding because we know that many of our guests liked that.
This happened in 2007 when wedding coordinators were not yet very widespread, so the waiters of Apollo took the initiative to provide us with some of the things we needed for our reception. They even prepared the goblets and other cake-serving accessories needed for the cake-sharing ceremony of the bride and groom. Of course, we tipped the waiters generously, too, as they had been so nice to us, serving us well. You cannot even say that because I am a mommy blogger so I got good treatment because back then, that wasn’t the norm either.
Aside from the service and their usual Filipino-accepted Chinese fusion dishes, Apollo Restaurant Hilado is very affordable. And most of all, you can discuss your budget with them so that they can provide a satisfying banquet for you without breaking the bank.
And on the other side, if you prefer a grand wedding reception with premium authentic Chinese dishes, then they can also deliver that. They have a different menu for that, too.
Our Firstborn’s 7th Birthday
On our firstborn daughter’s 7th birthday, we decided to hold a big celebration because of this milestone year. Her birthday party was held in the big function room of Apollo Restaurant Hilado, which is located on the third floor of their building.
I think we had close to 150 guests, which included children and even babysitters. We also had different tables for birthday cakes, desserts, game prizes, and gifts. Plus, we had a drinks booth. Despite that, the function room was still very spacious! Yes, many people even hold wedding receptions here because it can seat up to 200 people (buffet style).
Again, we were on a budget, so Apollo Restaurant Hilado customized our birthday party menu. We classified children in the kids’ meals, which cost lower per head, that the regular menu. And yet, there was still so much food to share! We even had to pack the leftovers to bring home.

Meanwhile, the function room on the third floor is the largest, which could seat up to 250, depending on your setup.
