The family is the most basic unit of society. Mommy blogger Sigrid is determined and committed to taking care of her husband and children. She shares tips as well as their family activities.
Wherever our family is, that’s home. So we try to keep everything together, including our wits, in order to provide a happy and loving home to our children. That is a top priority for us.
One of the practices that my husband and I agree on is homeschooling. Even before we got married, we have already started considering homeschooling our future kids.
So when we eventually had our daughters, it was a natural course to take for us regarding our children’s education.
We are in our 7th year of homeschooling now and we have no regrets. This is especially true when the Covid-19 pandemic happened worldwide. The children’s education is one less worry for us parents.
Part of our homeschooling initiatives is traveling together. We set aside part of our monthly budget for our travel savings funds.
As much as we can, we bring the kids to different places because, for us, travel means an extended and enlarged classroom. The children get to learn from different exposures and experiences while traveling.
Too bad that we are grounded for now because of the pandemic. The most that we can do is go on occasional road trips around the province of Negros Occidental.
Like most families, we do have our own goals. But it may not be the usual dream. It is our desire to have our own expansive property where we can freely plant different kinds of trees and keep it as a reserve.
That is going to be our legacy to the next generation–an investment for the environment that could benefit our children and the next.
Hope you enjoy reading about our stories in this mommy blog! :)
xoxo,
Mommy Sigrid
